Privacy policy

Alpine Export NZ Ltd, trading as iti, runs itipet.com from Mount Maunganui, New Zealand. We collect your information and hold it, using the services listed below. This policy explains what personal information we collect when you shop with us, why, and what you can ask us to do with it. We follow the New Zealand Privacy Act 2020.

What we collect

When you order: your name, delivery and billing address, email address, phone number and the items you bought.

When you sign up: your email address, if you choose to join our mailing list at checkout or through a sign up form.

When you browse: basic information such as the pages you visit and the device you use, collected by our website platform through cookies and similar tools.

When you contact us: your message and any details you give us.

Payments are handled by Stripe. We do not see or keep your full card number.

Giving us your name, delivery address, email and phone number is needed to process and deliver your order. If you do not give them, we cannot complete it. Joining our mailing list is optional.

Why we collect it

To take and deliver your order, to send order confirmations and delivery updates, to answer your questions, to deal with returns, and to keep the site working and secure. If you opt in, we also use your email to send you news and offers about iti. We may also use it to show you iti ads on platforms such as Instagram and Facebook. You can unsubscribe at any time using the link in any email, or ask us to stop using your details for ads at sales@itipet.com.

Who we share it with

We share only what is needed with the services that help us run the shop: Squarespace (our website and online store), Stripe (payments), our shipping label provider and the courier that delivers your order (they receive your name, address, phone number and email for delivery), and our email service. If you join our mailing list, we may share your email address, in a hashed (scrambled) form, with advertising platforms such as Meta so they can show you our ads. We do not sell your information.

Where it is stored

Some of these services store or process information outside New Zealand, including in the United States. Those countries may not have privacy laws that give the same protection as New Zealand. By placing an order or joining our mailing list, you agree to your information being sent to these providers.

How long we keep it

We keep order records for as long as the law requires for tax and accounting. Mailing list details stay until you unsubscribe. We delete information we no longer need.

Your rights

You can ask us for a copy of the personal information we hold about you, and ask us to correct it. Contact us at sales@itipet.com. We will reply within 20 working days.

If you are not happy with how we have handled your information, please tell us first. You can also complain to the Office of the Privacy Commissioner at privacy.org.nz.

Cookies

Our website uses cookies to remember your cart and to understand how the site is used. We also use advertising cookies, including the Meta Pixel, to show iti ads to people who have visited our site. You can turn cookies off in your browser, but the cart and checkout may not work properly.
